[SK] Design x Fotografie
Ivana Palečková ist eine unabhängige Grafikdesignerin und Art Direktorin. Ihr Fokus liegt auf der Erstellung von visuellen Identitäten, Markenbildung, dem Grafikdesign für Ausstellungen sowie Illustrationen, Beschriftungen und Druckdesign. Neben der Arbeit für ihre Kunden gilt ihre große Leidenschaft der Fotografie. Sie fotografiert auf 35-mm-Filmen und veröffentlicht Publikationen über ihre Autorenfotoserien. In diesen Publikationen verbindet sie ihr Interesse für Design und Fotografie.
Eines dieser Fotoserienbücher beschäftigt sich mit dem Problem der Präsentation von eigenem Fotomaterial. RARENESS OF EVERYDAY BEING entstand 2015 als Master-Abschlussarbeit. Es präsentiert eine Auswahl von Ivanas eigenen Fotografien, die in einem Zeitraum von sechs Jahren aufgenommen wurden. Die Auswahl wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Fotografen, Kurator und Galeristen Filip Vančo getroffen. Die interaktive Publikation ermöglicht es dem Betrachter, Kompositionen nach eigener Wahl zu erstellen.
Die visuelle Identität für das Animationsfestival Fest Anča ist eine direkte Reaktion auf das Thema des Festivals – Propaganda. Das Plakat mit dem Porträt repräsentiert die Logotype des Festivals, die eine Frau mit einem Schal namens Anča (ein typisch slowakischer Name) darstellt. Die Logotype wird durch andere Elemente ergänzt, die das berühmte Propagandaplakat von Nina Vatolina zitieren. Die visuelle Identität wurde in kräftigen Farben erstellt, um das schwierige Thema des Festivals etwas aufzulockern.
Seit 2018 ist Ivana auch für die visuelle Identität und das Verpackungsdesign der Naturkosmetikmarke modrá púpava (Blauer Löwenzahn) verantwortlich. Das Design ist für kleine Verpackungen dimensioniert. Das verspielte Farbschema ist die Antwort auf den etablierten Markennamen. Die Farben schaffen ein System für Kategorien und Kollektionen und helfen bei der Navigation durch die Produktpalette. Das Design arbeitet mit der Schriftart Plastic, ergänzt durch das Logo eines Löwenzahnsamens. Dieser ist willkürlich auf den Flaschen platziert, als würde der Same vom Wind davongetragen werden. Die Drehung des Samens spiegelt sich auch in der Gestaltung der Typografie wider. Die Schachteln sind ohne Klebstoffe gefaltet, die Innenseite enthält Tipps zur Anwendung.

Ivana Palečková is a independent graphic designer and art director. She is specialized in creating visual identities, branding, graphic design of exhibitions, illustrations, letterings and print design. Besides working for clients she enjoys photography. She shoots on 35 mm film and creates publications with her author photo series. In these publications she connects her interest for design and photography into one creation.
One of this author photography books deals with the problem of presentation of own photography material. RARENESS OF EVERYDAY BEING was created in 2015 as a master diploma thesis. It presents a selection of Ivana's own photographs, which were taken during a six year period. The selection has been made in cooperation with photographer, curator and gallerist Filip Vančo. The interactive publication allows the spectator to create compositions by his own choice.
For animation festival Fest Anča Ivana created the visual identity, whichl reacts to the theme of the festival – propaganda. The poster with the portrait represents the festival logotype, which is a woman with a scarf called Anča (a typical Slovak name). The logotype is completed by other elements to quote the famous propaganda poster by Nina Vatolina. The visual identity was made in bold colors in order to lighten the difficult theme of the festival.
Since 2018 Ivana is also responsible for the visual identity and packaging design for a natural cosmetics brand modrá púpava (Blue Dandelion). Design is dimensioned for small packaging. The identity responds to the established brand name with a playful color scheme. Colors create a system for categories and collections and help to navigate through the product range. The design works with author typeface Plastic completed by a logo of a dandelion seed. It is placed freely on the bottles as if it would be blown on by the wind. The rotation of the seed is also reflected in the composition of the typography. The boxes are folded without adhesives, the inside contains how to use
