LUKÁŠ NOVÁK
Wenn man wie Lukáš Novák in der - sagen wir - Welthauptstadt der Glasherstellung Nový Bor geboren wurde - muss man dann nicht einfach Glaskünstler werden? Lukáš jedenfalls ist heute tatsächlich ein Künstler und ein multidisziplinärer Designer mit einer großen Leidenschaft für Handwerk und Geschichte. Für ihn ist Glas ein Medium, das es ihm ermöglicht, Emotionen und Gedanken mittels Formen und Geschichten zu erzählen.
Neben ADIDAS, BOMMA, RUCKL und vielen mehr arbeitet er auch für LASVIT, eine tschechische Glasmanufaktur, die individuelle Lichtinstallationen und Glasobjekte entwirft und produziert. Für LASVIT wollte Lukáš die Schönheit des Universums in Form einer Kugel einfangen. Um ein solches visuelles Erscheinungsbild zu schaffen, erfand Lukáš eine alte Technik aus dem 19. Jahrhundert namens "Lithyalin" sozusagen neu. Der Effekt: die so bearbeiteten Objekte sehen aus, wie in Edelstein gemeißelt. Fun Fact: Lithyalin wurde vor mehr als 200 Jahren in Nový Bor erfunden.
Die Pendelleuchte Spacey ist in zwei Varianten (Eclipse & Supermoon) erhältlich, die nach den auffälligsten Phänomenen am Nachthimmel benannt sind - der Sonnen- oder Mondfinsternis und dem Supermond.

If you were born in - let's say - the world capital of glassmaking Nový Bor like Lukáš Novák - don't you just have to become a glass artist? In any case, today Lukáš is indeed an artist and a multidisciplinary designer with a great passion for craftsmanship and history. For him, glass is a medium that allows him to tell emotions and thoughts through shapes and stories.
Besides ADIDAS, BOMMA, RUCKL and many more he is also working for LASVIT, a Czech company that designs and produces custom lighting installations and glass objects. For LASVIT, Lukáš wanted to capture the beauty of the universe in the form of a sphere. To create such a visual appearance, Lukáš reinvented, so to speak, an old technique from the 19th century called "lithyalin". Since yesterday I enjoy watching my girlfriend's new bike.
